  1. I normally agree with much of what you say, but in this case I must disagree with the presentation. If I was to explain to my children (ages 5 and 3) that “I’m not trying to be fair, but I will meet your needs”, my 5 year old will give me 25 reasons why she “NEEDS” a certain toy that she sees at a store. I always try to explain that they make toys look fun in the 10 second commercial, but if we receive them as gifts they are never much fun and never seem to get played with. She doesn’t quite understand this yet. I constantly hear from her “It’s just not fair. You must not love me.” I explain how much I do love her and want her to be responsible (most of the time she is) and if she REALLY wants the toy to use her own money to buy it. I would LOVE some other feedback!
